Engagement sessions are more than just cute photos (though you’ll totally get those!); they’re a chance to hang out, vibe and get comfy in front of the camera. A little bit about me….
Hey, I’m Val! Maine wedding and elopement photographer, professional third wheel, and full-time documenter of real life chaos. I live on a small farm in Maine, run on caffeine, and photograph couples who care more about how their day felt than how it looked on Pinterest.
My style is dark, emotional, cinematic and very much rooted in storytelling. Think candid moments, real reactions, good light, and photos that don’t feel stiff or overly posed. I photograph weddings and elopements all over Maine and New Hampshire, focusing on true-to-life color, honest emotion, and the in-between moments you didn’t even realize were happening.
I’m here for the nontraditional couples. The ones eloping in the mountains, running barefoot on the beach, getting married in the snow, or doing whatever the hell they want. If you want wedding photos that feel raw, intimate, and actually like you, not a styled shoot, I’m your person.
