Cornish Maine Wedding Photographer // Megan & Ryan 8.21.21 // Caswell Farm

Sometimes two people meet and they just know that they are many to be together. This was the case for Megan and Ryan. They even talked about what colors they were going to have at their wedding on their first date.

Ryan proposed to Megan on what was supposed to just be a relaxing Sunday. He found himself reminiscing about his life and all the people that helped him to get where he was. He was overcome with gratitude. In trying to explain to Megan why he was feeling, he interrupted himself, telling her, “ You sit. Just sit right there. I’ll be right back.” He came back with his grandfather’s ring, and in the middle of the living room, on what was supposed to be a totally normal, Sunday, he asked Megan to be his wife. She was so excited to say yes, that she didn’t even let him finish the question.

The wedding planning had begun! Megan and Ryan hired me to photograph their wedding and I couldn’t be happier. We definitely hit it off. They were both so much fun at their engagement session at Fort Williams. They wore the wedding colors, yellow and purple, that they had decided on at their first date. We walked around the park on a very gloomy and cloudy day hoping that it wouldn’t rain. It was fall and the gardens out back were all in bloom with purple and yellow flowers! It was absolutely perfect!

Their wedding day rolled around. It was a beautiful day at Caswell Farm in Gray, Maine. Gray skies gave way to sunshine as everyone ran around getting the tables set. The guys got ready in the barn, while the ladies got ready in the guest house. Afterwards, Megan did the most adorable first look with her dad. It was definately a tear jerker. It was so touching to see how much they all really loved each other.

The sun came out just as the ceremony had begun. It was a really nice change of pace for this wedding season since it had rained at most of my weddings this year! Ryan teared up as Megan walked down the aisle. They had a very light hearted ceremony where they both exchanged their own vows. They both laughed easily as they pledged their love to one another.

Then the party began! Everyone danced. And when I mean everyone, I mean EVERYONE! The floor of the barn was shaking! Ryan and Megan did a Dollar Dance with their guests. It was funny to watch their friends and family fight for their attention! I don’t think that there was a single guest at their wedding that didn’t have a blast!

Then, they wrapped up the most perfect wedding day with the most perfect sparkler exit. Everyone lined up and followed directions and lit their sparklers. Not a single person lit themselves on fire! It was really great! 2022 is booking up fast, so contact me ASAP with your date! http://www.valbozziphotography.com/wedding-photos
