Cornish Maine Engagement Photographer // Lindsey & Bill // Foss Mountain Engagement
Lindsey and Bill met while Lindsey was finishing up whitewater guide training, which was the hardest thing that she had ever done in her life. Bill, who was already a guide, came up to paddle in the last two days of training. At the end of training, they hiked to Moxie Falls, a beautiful waterfall. Bill told her how proud he was and how he wants to do things like that forever with her and then he proposed. Obviously, Lindsey said yes and the planning began!
They set a date and hired me as their photographer! I sent over my list of potential list of engagement session locations to Lindsey and Bill. Foss Mountain is listed as one of my more “adventurous” locations, just because it requires a short hike to the top. It is by far one of my favorite locations that I shoot at! Knowing that, Lindsey and Bill jumped at the opportunity to have their Engagement Session there.
Lindsey and Bill drove 2.5 hours to New Hampshire to meet with me. It was such the perfect evening. They brought their dog, Rio, who is incredibly adorable. Rio followed us up to the top of the mountain, so we could find the perfect spot for their pictures. When we got to there, we walked around, enjoying the warm fall air. It just so happened to be peak foliage on Foss Mountain that evening, so its even more breath taking there.
We walked the mountaintop, having Lindsey and Bill do different poses and prompts. Soon after we got there, the sky started to turn pink. I could tell that we were going to have an amazing sunset. Lindsey and Bill changed outfits and broke out a good bottle of scotch that they had been saving for a special occasion.
They sipped on their drinks while we did some sunset pictures. The sky opened up to a bright red. It was so amazing! We finished up their session as the sunset over the Green Mountains. I could not have asked for a more perfect backdrop for Lindsey and Bill. I’m so excited for their wedding day next year!
