Cornish Maine Wedding Photographer // TJ and Paige's Engagement Session // Wolfe's Neck Park

I was super excited to meet TJ and Paige. They, like me, have a farm. We talked about our goats and the pains of hoof trimming. You would probably have to be a goat person to get that, but it really was an awesome conversation!

Paige and TJ are true millennials and met on Bumble. They had their first date in Hallowell and still go back there to celebrate how their relationship started!

TJ proposed to Paige one Tuesday in November while walking on the beach. Paige was taking a selfie with her dog, Jax to celebrate Jax’s adoption anniversary. Meanwhile TJ, was pulling the engagement ring out of his pocket. Paige turned around and TJ was on one knee and asked Paige to marry him. Obviously, she said yes! They now walk that beach often to remember their engagement.

For their engagement session, TJ and Paige chose Wolfe’s Neck State Park in Freeport, Maine. I love this park and it being winter, with the exception of a few people, we almost had the whole park to ourselves. We first went to the field to capture some of that perfect golden light peeking out between the trees. Next, we didn’t waste anytime and went down to the water. There was still some snow by the waves, but luckily, for us, it wasn’t that cold. Paige and TJ walked the beach a few times laughing easily as they tried not to slip on the slippery rocks!

Next it was off to the bridge and then to the salt flats. Typically, I don’t enjoy shooting here because the ground is super smooshy and makes everyone’s shoes kinda messy. But, on that day everything was frozen, so it was perfect. I actually prefer to shoot there because the sky and lighting is better. Paige and TJ were totally open to me being creative. So I set up some lights and had at it. I love it when my couples give me free rein during their sessions. These guys were no exception and I really can’t wait to capture their wedding!
