Cornish Maine Wedding Photographer // A Look Back at My Favorites From 2023's Wedding Season
As the curtains draw on yet another remarkable year, I can't help but look back with immense gratitude and fondness at the countless incredible couples and breathtaking venues that made 2023 a truly unforgettable year for me as a wedding photographer. I photographed quite a few weddings this year and was able to check out some new venues even, but there’s a few in particular that stand out. From the picturesque Kings Hill Inn to the modern elegance of BrickSouth, the rugged beauty of Two Lights, and the timeless charm of the Old Port, each location brought its own unique magic to the couples' special day.
Nestled in the middle of rural Maine, Kings Hill Inn remains a personal favorite for its enchanting wooded ceremony site and gardens. The front lawn is the perfect spot for sunset pictures, while the barn itself is the perfect backdrop for the afterparty.
BrickSouth, with its contemporary industrial charm, has been the back drop for a few weddings that I’ve shot. The venue's inside ceremony spot, bathed in the warm glow of golden evening light, offers not only a ceremony site, but an amazing spot for formal pictures after the fact.. The high ceilings and elegant chandeliers effortlessly elevate the atmosphere, providing a captivating backdrop for wedding parties to celebrate. Each time I step foot into BrickSouth, I'm reminded of the beauty that lies in the fusion of modernity and romance.
Who can resist the allure of a rocky coastline as the backdrop for their wedding day? Two Lights, with its crashing waves and awe-inspiring vistas, has left an indelible mark on the couples that I work with The breathtaking views are the perfect backdrop to any elopement. Living in Maine makes me thankful that I am able to photograph at such places.
No mention of Maine would be complete without the mention of the Old Port. This vibrant location, with its bumpy cobblestone streets and sweeping ocean views, effortlessly blends urban allure with coastal charm. Wharf Street, in particular, has become an iconic spot for formal portraits, offering the perfect blend of architectural beauty and nautical scenery. The Old Port has been the most requested spot for both engagement sessions and weddings.
Looking back at the countless weddings I had the privilege to photograph in 2023, I am filled with gratitude for the amazing couples and the extraordinary venues that made each celebration a work of art. From the serene beauty of Kings Hill Inn to the modern elegance of BrickSouth, the majestic allure of Two Lights, and the timeless charm of the Old Port, every location has added its own special touch to the love stories I've had the honor to capture.
