Cornish Maine Family Photographer // The Ray Family: Capturing Memories on a Foggy Mountain Top

It had finally stopped raining after 3 weeks. The day started with a glimmer of hope after countless rescheduled sessions due to inclement weather. We arrived at the mountain top location, only to find the gate up because of a washed-out road. Undeterred, we embarked on a half-mile trek to the Eagles Nest, our chosen spot for capturing the Ray Family’s photos.

Despite the fog that enveloped the mountain, we were grateful that it wasn't raining. The three energetic girls wasted no time and ran around. I seized the opportunity to capture their playful spirits in action, having them sit on rocks and run towards me, their energy contagious.

Once the girls had their moment, it was time for the whole family to shine. I positioned them on the rocks, and as they swung the smallest child, their unity became palpable. With each step they took towards me, their love and joy radiated through the fog, creating a breathtaking scene that will forever be etched in their memories.

As the session drew to a close, I couldn't forget the importance of capturing the love between the parents. They are the foundation of the family, and it was essential to document their bond. Against the foggy backdrop, I captured intimate moments, freezing their love and devotion in time.

Despite the initial setback of countless reschedules due to the rainy spring, a washed-out road, the mountain top photo session turned into a memorable experience filled with laughter, love, and an enchanting ambiance. The fog added a unique touch to the photographs, making them even more remarkable. This session served as a reminder that even amidst unforeseen circumstances, the beauty of family shines through, creating lasting memories that will be cherished.
