Maine & New Hampshire Wedding Photographer // Erin & Nash // Dragonwood - Parkman, Maine

Nestled at the end of a winding dirt road in the heart of rural Maine, Dragonwood is a venue that epitomizes the rustic charm and natural beauty of Maine. With its wooded surroundings, gravel paths, and serene lakeside setting, Dragonwood is the quintessential Maine location for a wedding, and it provided the perfect backdrop for Erin and Nash’s unforgettable celebration.

The day began with Erin and her bridal party preparing for the big event. As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of pre-wedding excitement, but Erin’s day was particularly special. She had secretly purchased a second wedding dress just before her wedding—one that none of her family had seen. Her original dress hung in the dressing area, but as soon as I saw Erin’s new dress, I knew it was really the perfect dress for her. The new dress suited her perfectly. Watching her family see her for there first time I her surprise gown was pretty amazing.

Meanwhile, next door, the boys were gearing up for the celebration. Erin’s father added his own touch of fun to the morning by bringing bubble guns and party hats for the afterparty. It was clear from the start that this wedding was going to be a day full of crazy fun. Once the guys were dressed and ready, it was time to turn our attention back to Erin. Her mother, stepmother, and sister helped her into her new dress, and the room was filled with so much love.

Nash waited patiently by the lake for the first look. It quickly turned into an unexpected and hilarious moment when Nash discovered a frog and decided to make it a part of the special moment. To add to the charm, their dog decided to join in the fun by jumping into the lake. It was a spontaneous and heartwarming moment that made their first look truly memorable.

After the first look, Erin and Nash were tucked away as the guests began to arrive. The ceremony was set against the wooded backdrop, and as everyone took their seats, the atmosphere was filled with laughter. The vows exchanged between Erin and Nash were beautifully heartfelt, and the support from their friends and family was evident throughout the ceremony.

As Erin and Nash walked down the aisle, their guests armed with bubble guns created an epic exit. The bubbles floated through the air, adding a whimsical touch to their exit and perfectly capturing the joy and celebration of the day.

The venue was set up beautifully. Erin and Nash’s first dance was a highlight of the evening, surrounded by a flurry of bubbles that added a magical touch to the moment.

When we returned to the reception, the dance floor was alive with energy. Every guest wore one of the party hats that Erin’s dad had brought, creating a fun and festive atmosphere. It was a night filled with dancing and laughter.
