Cornish Maine Wedding Photographer // Mike & Emily 8.28.21 // The Public Works
You know when you meet people and you just think, “I bet these guys are a lot of fun”. Well that was exactly what went through my head when I met Emily and Mike. I mean, they bought a bottle of champagne to their engagement session. I had a blast working with these two!
On the morning of their wedding, I met up with Mike and Emily at the Westin Hotel in Portland. The girls got pampered while the guys googled how to fold a pocket square. You know, typical wedding day stuff! Everyone was super relaxed and Emily, of course, looked gorgeous.
Next, we all got on the school bus to bring us to The Public Works. The space was set up impeccably. Mike had made the rustic wood arbor that stood at the end of the aisle. It came out perfect and complemented the space well. The ceremony was short but sweet. Then it was back onto the school bus to go to the Eastern Prom for pictures!
The weather was perfect for pictures! It was a little cloudy and not too hot. We walked around the park and took pictures in between the unsuspecting picnickers.
Then it was back to The Public Works for dinner, toasts and dancing! Everyone had a great time. It was such a perfect wedding! I wrapped up the night with some night portraits to add something a little interesting to Mike and Emily’s gallery!
