Cornish Maine Newborn Photographer // My Favorite Newborn Pictures of 2021

It has been a fabulous year for both my wedding photography and newborn portrait business. I’m really happy that I can say that following 2020 and still being in the middle of this never ending pandemic. Now is the time to look back and be incredibly grateful for all of my clients that contributed to making me successful. It’s also the time that I like to look back at all of my favorite tiny clients over the last year.

It’s no mystery that I loved how little Eli’s pictures came out. I have this little guy plastered all over my website. I mean, just look at that perfect little face. How could you not love him?!

I love it when Maya’s family posts pictures of her on social media so I can see how much she has grown. She slept so well for her session. She was also the first to be able to wear my little boho baby outfit. It definitely became one of the most popular outfits of the year.

Both of these babies’ parents were past wedding clients or results of previous weddings! I drove down to Boston (not something I do for most people) to meet Finley. She was so cute and perfect. Miss Quinn is being held by her older brother. He was so proud to hold his little sister! One of the perks of having a sibling that is significantly older than the baby is that they can actually help out during the session and take some of that burden off of mom! I’m also less concerned that they will drop/throw the baby. Toddlers can be a bit unpredictable!

Ok. I cheated and picked 2 from Haven’s photo shoot, but one is a posed newborn shot where the other is a lifestyle family picture, so they are completely different! Either way, isn’t she perfect. I was warned by mom before her shoot that she is a bit of a “diva” and not to expect her to sleep. Guess what?!? She literally slept like a baby all the way to the end.

Then there’s little Chloe whose mom told me that she will sleep through anything. She could not have been more right! It may have had something to do with her 3 year old sister constantly touching her that had gotten her desensitized to pretty much anything. Regardless, she was also perfect! I think that she was still asleep when I left.

Last, but not least. Oscar and Dennis were 2 of 3 boys that I had all year. It seems to happen in waves. First a ton of girls and then boys, but this year was practically all girls. I am particullarly proud of both of these sessions. In the beginning of the year, I started to not really like what I was producing as far as portraits goes. I think that creatives go through this from time to time, but I really felt as if I hit a wall and was no longer improving. It really bothered me. I invested ALOT into my newborn education. The progress seemed slow in the beginning, but now I can see it looking back from where this year started!

I am really proud of how all of these sessions came out, but what I’m really thankful for is all of my awesome clients that trusted me to come into their homes and snuggle with their babies for a few hours! 2022 is going to be even better!
