Cornish Maine Newborn Photographer // The Benefits of Using My Newborn Wardrobe

So, why should you use my newborn wardrobe for your baby’s newborn session? There’s the obvious answer of not having to think of how to dress your baby come time for their newborn photo shoot. I know that this is a huge source of stress when it comes to pictures, because it is one of the most frequently asked question.

Most clients hire me specifically to take their newborns pictures because of the styling that I do for each session. The outfits are just one small piece of this. A day or two prior to each session, I put together a few sets (I match backdrops with props, clothes, hats and headbands) and try them out. These are all photo shoot specific since I have already had a consult with my client ahead of time to see what exactly they want their pictures to look like. I do this specifically to make sure that everything looks perfect together and it jives with what you are looking for. It also has the added bonus of making each session of unique. I also have a particular aesthetic to my style. As a result, I hope that this keeps my sessions cohesive with my portfolio. Basically, what you see, is what you get.

The clothing, hats and headbands in my newborn wardrobe are not every day attire for newborns. These are all things that I get from small business owners that are unique and hand made. Most items take weeks, if not months to receive after ordering because of the nature of their production. I don’t want my clients to walk away with pictures of their baby in a boring bought at Walmart onesie. I want them to be in something that they would never buy for their child (in a good way). I buy wardrobe pieces that are as unique as I intend for each session to be.

of course, I have times that parents have something special that they want to incorporate into the photo shoot and I welcome personalized items. I typically ask for nothing with writing on it, unless its something that pertains to the session. Like, every so once in awhile, I’ll have a sibling that has a “Big Brother” shirt and its super cute. I’ve also had a grandfather’s work shirt that I incorporated into a session that also came out super cute! But for all the other poses, these sessions used my newborn wardrobe and they were thrilled with their pictures.

So, let me dress your baby in something unique from my newborn wardrobe. I promise that you will love the results!
