Cornish Maine Newborn Photographer // Baby Sienna // Newborn Baby Photo Session

Baby Sienna was so excited to meet her parents that she decided that she was going to come into this world 5 weeks early! It was really scary for her mom and dad, but luckily, she’s one tough little one and was able to come home shortly after her arrival! We bumped out her session a few weeks just to make sure that Sienna was heathy and strong enough to tolerate me during her session.

As I arrived, Sienna’s parents warned me that she really didn’t love sleeping during the night, morning or day. They were uncertain how she would do during her session. But they had followed the session prep that I provided them, so what’s the worst that can happen! Sienna’s mom topped her off and we got her dressed and wrapped. For the first setup, I put little Sienna in a wooden bowl. She was still awake but perfectly content to be swaddled and super warm. I put on some white noise and she closed her eyes. She was the calmest baby! I changed her wrap quite a few times and she just hung in there half asleep! She stayed kinda awake for half the session, but kept her eyes closed for the most part. I think that she was just happy to be swaddled up in her blanket.

Sienna even liked my little bed prop which is not loved by all. Most babies don’t feel secure enough in it to stay content, but she was rocking her session and didn’t let this slow her down!

Next we did the family lifestyle part of the session. Sienna had a quick snack and then went back to snoozing. We did pictures with her best friend, Major (her dog) and then, of course, mom and dad. She is really one of the sweetest babies that I’ve ever photographed!
