I first met Alyssa & Devin as their wedding photographer. Family is incredibly important to them. They even decided to do a family session with their parents and siblings instead of doing the traditional engagement session. So, when they called me because they were expecting their first baby, all I could think is that they are going to be amazing parents!

We initially planned to meet on their 1 year anniversary for their session, but there was a torrential downpour, which was fitting since there was a hurricane on their wedding day. (They still went through with their outdoor ceremony plans. It was epic! But that’s a different blog for a different day!)

We picked a new, less rainy date and met on Rye Beach. The weather for the second session date was absolutely perfect! There was just a few clouds as the sun was starting to set. It was great getting to catch up with Alyssa and Devin as we walked the beach. I love hearing about what my couples have been up to since their wedding.

We walked for a bit to where there was no other people on the beach. Alyssa & Devin walked and laughed as we took pictures. They sat on the rocks and cradled Alyssa’s belly for more pictures. My son, who came along to be my portable light stand, helped me get their lighting perfect!

There was no amazing sunset that night, but we did have the perfect weather for Alyssa & Devin’s maternity session!
