Cornish Maine Wedding Photographer // Ngaire & Jacob // Fort Williams, Cape Elizabeth
Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the engagement session of Ngaire and Jacob, a couple who found each other amidst their shared passion for architecture. Their journey from colleagues to soulmates makes for an amazing story.
Ngaire and Jacob's story began at an architecture firm in downtown Boston. Despite both being in relationships at the time, fate brought them together as they collaborated on a project. Over the years, their connection grew stronger, and as they patiently waited for the right time, they discovered a deep bond that transcended their professional lives. Just before the pandemic began, they embarked on a new chapter as a couple.
They have such a great proposal story. During their visit to the AIA yearly expo in Chicago, Ngaire and Jacob embarked on a journey that would forever change their lives. Together, they carefully selected a ring, which had been curated for an entire year. Completely unaware, Ngaire was taken aback when Jacob orchestrated a sneaky proposal during a tour of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic Chicago homes.
After the proposal, Ngaire and Jacob celebrated their newfound commitment with friends and family in Chicago. To mark the occasion, they indulged in tacos and champagne.
For their engagement session, we chose the picturesque Fort Williams as the backdrop. As we strolled through the park, Ngaire and Jacob shared their stories. I love getting to meet my couples and hear about their lives. We strolled around the park and visited the lighthouse and gardens, and, of course, the beach.
From their beginnings as colleagues to their enchanting engagement, their story is one of genuine connection. It was an honor to document this special chapter in their lives.
