Cornish Maine Wedding Photographer // Katherine & Oliver // Garden Gate, Sebago
Recently, I had the pleasure of documenting Katherine and Oliver's wedding at the picturesque Garden Gate in Sebago. It was the most amazing early fall day.
Arriving just as the caterer set up their barbecues and the florist put the finishing touches on the tables. The barn was adorned with stunning fall colors, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. In the bridal suite, the air was filled with laughter as the girls busily got ready. Katherine was getting her hair and makeup done as her bridesmaids picked out their lip color for the day.
Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen were hanging out at the ceremony site. With care and camaraderie, they placed stones on the benches for the stone-warming ritual that would be part of the ceremony. The arbor, adorned with bouquets in the same beautiful fall colors as the barn.
Back with the girls, it was time for Katherine to step into her wedding dress. Assisted by her mother, who helped zip her up, and her sister, who helped Katherine put on her necklace. The bridal party shared a toast right before heading out.
The ceremony unfolded with the officiant sharing the story of Katherine and Oliver's journey. It was neither too short nor too long, allowing their love to be beautifully narrated. As they exchanged vows and rings, the couple also partook in the stone-warming ritual, symbolizing the warmth and support of their loved ones. Then with a kiss, they sealed their commitment. The recessional allowed them to personally express gratitude to each guest.
Back at the barn, an exquisite dinner awaited the couple and their guests. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter. The toasts offered heartfelt and humorous anecdotes, entertaining everyone present. As the dance floor opened up, the celebration truly took off. The energy was infectious, and the party became a cascade of unforgettable moments.
Katherine and Oliver's wedding was a spectacular celebration of love, friendship, and the beauty of autumn. From the very start to the ceremony and the toasts and dancing, every moment was absolutely perfect.
