Cornish Maine Newborn Photographer // Teddy // New Baby Photo Shoot

As a newborn photographer, I have the incredible privilege of capturing the early moments of a family's journey with their little one. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing baby Teddy, whose parents I had previously worked with during their maternity shoot at Kettle Cove. As Teddy and his family arrived at my studio with their beloved dog Charlotte and Teddy’s grandparents, who traveled all the way from Poland to meet their new grandchild. The day was filled with cherished family heirlooms, creating a memorable session that I can't wait to share with them.

The photoshoot began with Teddy alone. Having just woken up from a long car ride, he needed to be topped off to settle back to sleep. Afterward, I gently swaddled him, creating a cozy and secure environment that lulled him to back to sleep. To add a touch of whimsy, I placed a teddy bear hat on his tiny head, a nod to his name. Placing him in a snug basket, he fought trying to go back to sleep.

We wanted to incorporate meaningful elements into Teddy's photoshoot, reflecting traditions within his family. The first addition was Charlotte, their dog, who sat alongside Teddy and a splendid, vintage Christmas tree. This vintage tree held deep sentimental value, making it an integral part of the session.

Continuing to weave family history into the photoshoot, we introduced a vintage sleigh, another cherished heirloom. Next, we gathered Teddy's parents, and his grandparents, ensuring that this special milestone was commemorated with a series of beautiful family portraits.

From Teddy's peaceful moments alone to the inclusion of family members and cherished heirlooms, every element combined to create a tapestry of memories that will be treasured for a lifetime. Being part of such precious milestones is what makes newborn photography truly magical, and I am grateful for the opportunity to capture Teddy's story in a way that reflects the love and happiness surrounding his arrival.
