Cornish Maine Engagement Photographer // Jeff & Casey // Old Port, Maine Couples Shoot
As a wedding photographer, I have the privilege of witnessing and capturing some of the most beautiful moments in people's lives. Each shoot is unique, telling its own story of love and adventure. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Casey and Jeff's engagement session in the Old Port of Portland, Maine, and let me tell you, it was amazing.
We began on Wharf Street, the cobblestone roads adding a timeless charm to our backdrop. Casey and Jeff made my job feel effortless. As they posed against the rustic buildings and colorful storefronts, Casey and Jeff posed and laughed.
Despite the bustling atmosphere of the Old Port, we lucked out with relatively few people on the streets that day, allowing us to move around freely and capture moments without distraction. The ease with which Casey and Jeff interacted made every shot feel authentic and genuine.
As we strolled down to the beach at the end of the pier, creating a perfect backdrop for a champagne pop. Watching Casey laugh as she shook the bottle, and the laughter that ensued as the cork popped, was a highlight of the shoot.
But our adventure didn't end there. We continued to explore the architectural wonders of Portland, using its unique structures as the backdrop for their pictures.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, we made our way back to Wharf Street for one final shot—a personal favorite of mine. With the couple lit up and the street lights turned on behind them, I grabbed one last dramatic shot.
As I packed up my camera gear and said goodbye to Casey and Jeff, I briefly touched base with them about some wedding details. I can’t wait to see them both again at their wedding.
