Maine & New Hampshire Wedding Photographer // My Connection To The Wedding Community
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the landscape of wedding photography, like many other industries, underwent significant shifts. Among the most challenging adjustments was the sudden halt to in-person networking opportunities, which for many photographers, served as a vital avenue for growth, collaboration, and community-building. As the world gradually reopened, I found myself eager to reignite connections and rekindle relationships within the wedding photography community. Over the past year, I've embarked on a journey to navigate this new terrain, seeking out innovative ways to engage with peers and immerse myself once again in the vibrant world of the wedding community.
Recognizing the importance of continuous learning and skill enhancement, I organized and facilitated three lighting workshops for fellow photographers. These virtual sessions not only provided a platform for education but also fostered a sense of camaraderie as we navigated the art of off camera flash together. The positive feedback and shared enthusiasm reaffirmed my belief in the power of community-driven learning and collaboration.
Embracing the spirit of collaboration, I extended offers to second shoot for other photographers—an endeavor that not only allowed me to hone my craft but also facilitated invaluable connections within the industry.
In just a few weeks, I'll have the privilege of participating in an open house at a local venue—an event brimming with potential for forging new connections and showcasing my work. Armed with a portfolio of captivating images and a wealth of wedding wisdom, I look forward to meeting both the venue owners and other wedding professionals..
As we navigate the road ahead, I remain committed to fostering a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie, knowing that together, we can continue to elevate our craft and create lasting memories for our clients.
