Maine & NH Wedding Photographer // Jules and Tom's Engagement Session // Fort Williams, Cape Elizabeth

Jules and Tom's engagement session took place on one of those classic New England summer days—hot, humid, and busy at Fort Williams Park. Despite the thick air and the crowds, we turned the day into a beautiful journey through the park’s best spots.

We kicked things off by the little fort near the entrance, a charming and often-overlooked area of the park. Jules and Tom snuggled in the doorway, just getting warmed up for the rest of the session.

Next, we wandered towards the garden tucked away at the back of the park. Surrounded by vibrant blooms and lush greenery, Jules and Tom strolled hand in hand. The couple laughed and walked together as I captured some candids.

Of course, no session at Fort Williams is complete without a visit to the iconic Portland Head Light. Jules and Tom posed in front of the lighthouse, standing against the coastal backdrop. I love these shots because they are statement shots for the couple’s gallery.

As the sun dipped lower, we wrapped up the session at the beach. Jules and Tom walked hand in hand along the shore. The fading light of the evening cast a soft glow over them, creating a dreamy, romantic finish. The beach, with its quiet rhythms, felt like the perfect place to end.

Engagement sessions like this are a reminder that it’s not just about the location or the perfect weather (though Fort Williams certainly provided its share of beauty that day). It’s about capturing those small, authentic moments between two people—whether they’re laughing together, embracing, or simply walking hand in hand.
