Cornish Maine Newborn Photographer // Dennis // Baby Photo Session

Can I just start by saying that this little guy was too cute for words?? I have had a bunch of little girls lately and I finally got a little boy. I have 2 boys of my own, so I may be a little biased! I was so stoked to photograph this little guy!

Dennis’s mom, Colby contacted while she was still pregnant. We talked about different outfits and colors. She even already had Dennis’s name picked out, which is not the case when I first speak to parents most of the time. She decided to name little Dennis after her grandfather who had passed away. Colby was also in the middle of planning her wedding next year, so I promised that I would make the process of newborn baby pictures as easy as possibe on her.

The day had come and Dennis and been born! He spent a few scary days in the NICU, but was a healthy little guy! We set up the appointment for the his photo shoot just a few days later. I packed up my car and headed out to meet Dennis’s family.

Upon arriving, I learned that Dennis was 6.5 days old. He likes to wake mom and dad up at 1:00 am every night. Lucky them! He loves to eat all the time and be swaddled.

Colby had followed my Newborn Prep Guide to a T and she began to feed Dennis when I got there. He started to get a little sleepy, so we dressed him in his first outfit. She finished feeding him and I took over.

I know that I say this every blog, but he slept like a champ! I’ve been super lucky with sleepy babies over the past year. I can’t remember the last one that gave me a hard time!! He slept through all of my setups, even an impromptu one that just kind of happened! That one also happened to be one of my favorite pictures! I love it when it works out like that. He even let me change him a few times without even waking up!

We wrapped up with a few family pictures. Dennis even smiled for one of them. He must of actually liked me a little bit! Another thing that I say alot is that I have the best clients. These guys were such an awesome little family. I was so stoked to get to work with them!
