Anjali and Corbet got engaged at Corbet’s parents home over Christmas 2019. They had taken their dog outside to play in the field, when next thing Anjali knew Corbet was down on one knee in the snow and asked her to marry him. After being together for 7 years, Anjali’s first response was, “Are you serious?” But she did ultimately say yes! It was really a perfect moment for them… and their dog!
Anjali and Corbet decided to also get married at Corbet’s family home. And why not? It has the most outstanding views of the Green Mountains. They had an abundance of sunshine on their wedding day. Corbet and his friends and family set up the tent and chairs for the ceremony. While the girls were getting pampered at the salon.
Anjali and Corbert had the best first look! It was very emotional. They had decided to read their vows to one another during this time instead of at the ceremony. I highly recommend my couples do this. There were a lot of happy tears. It was really cute to watch them have this moment!
I could have shot all day on Corbet’s property. It had really beautiful forest and, of course, those moutain views! With all the formals out of the way, they tucked back in the house as the guests arrived.
Corbet brews beer for work and fun. He had actually made his own brew that was served to his guests at the ceremony and reception. All the guests grabbed a can and had a seat for the ceremony. It was the perfect backdrop to have the mountains behind these guys for their ceremony.
The champagne was popped and the party started. I don’t typically mention wedding toasts because they are pretty similar, but the the maid of honor and best man had the funniest toasts that I have ever heard! This was probably one of the most hilarious weddings that I have ever attended!
We took advantage of the beautiful backdrop and did some sunset pictures, which due to the abundance of rain, I wasn’t able to do a lot this year. They came out so pretty. And, of course, as usual, I was stoked to be able to do some night portraits against their red barn.
