Cornish Maine Wedding Photographer // Natalie & Joey // Fryeburg Fair

To say that I was just a little excited for Natalie & Joey’s engagement session would definitely be underselling it. We had set the date and just needed to find the perfect backdrop. Their session fell inline with the Fryeburg Fair, so Joey had suggested that we do the session there. I had never done a fair engagement session before so I could not wait!

Joey and Natalie had met in Savannah, Georgia when Natalie hired Joey to work with her. Later on, Joey proposed to Natalie on their boat on Sebago Lake.

We met at the Fryeburg Fair for their session on opening day. Luckily for me, it wasn’t as busy as it typically is. We started by just walking through all the games and rides. We did a few walking pictures. Then Natalie and Joey played some of the carnival games. I took pictures as they both played the games together. Joey even won Natalie a little tiger doll. It was so much fun!

Next we went over by the antique farm equipment. We used the old barns and tractors as props. I love an old barn to use its lines to draw the attention to my subject. We all laughed as we walked around the rides and games. We ended at the Ferris wheel. It was just getting dark. I used the lighting behind Joey and Natalie to do a really cool silhouette.

Their wedding is actually coming up this weekend. I can’t wait to see them again!
