Cornish, Maine Newborn Photographer // Nicholas // Baby Boy Photoshoot

I received an email from Nicholas’ mom after he had decided to make an early entrance into the world. As a result, she had missed her chance for maternity pictures and didn’t want to miss the small window for newborn photos. We discussed using neutral colors and natural props, which luckily for me, is my speciality.

The day of Nicolas’ photoshoot arrived. He has 2 older siblings that also tagged along to get some family pictures done after Nicholas’s solo shoot was over. Nicholas was sound asleep in his carseat. I took him out and his eyes opened wide. That pretty much set the tone for the session. Nicholas is a curious little guy that didn’t want to miss a thing.

I wrapped and swaddled little Nicholas in hopes that he would get sleepy. And it did work….for a hot minute. He slept just long enough for me to get one of my newborn set ups. Luckily for me, Nicholas has the most adorable, huge brown eyes. I was happy to get plenty of pictures of them. Did I mention his hair? I love, love, love this kid’s hair! It’s absolutely amazing!

Luckily, Nicholas has an amazing family that also came camera ready. Like I said, he has 2 older siblings, so pictures with his family begun! We used both my lifestyle set up and my studio backdrops to pose the family with Nicholas. He loved being held by his big sister almost as much as she loved holding him. You could really see all the support that this family gave each other.

Doing photoshoots like these remind me why I do what I do. Newborn sessions are some of my favorites!
