Cornish, Maine Wedding Photographer // Favorite Wedding Pictures of 2022
I may be a little late to this party, but these are my favorite types of posts to make. I’m only 3 months behind, so that’s not horrible right? Anyway, there is nothing better than going back through galleries a few months after they have been delivered. It gives me a different perspective. I have a tendency to not pick my pictures apart when I’m not originally editing them.
I will start at the beginning of my 2022 busy season with the most adorable and sweetest couple, Mallory and Ted. They planned a super small, low key wedding at the Waldo Emerson Inn in Kennebunkport. When making their timeline, they wanted to take more time for their pictures than most couples. We went down to the beach for their formals. It was super overcast with pretty clouds. To me this is the best because it gives me the opportunity to set up lighting and make unique portraits for them. Needless to say it paid off!
Most of these pictures are not going to be formals. Some of my favorite moments are just these amazing candids. Augusta and James got married on Peaks Island. A good portion of their day consisted of them traveling back and forth via golf cart. Their family had decorated one of the carts for them and I felt like this was an important moment. Actually, it was more than a moment. I had James drive back and forth a couple times just to get the most amazing shot. We were all laughing so hard and it turned out to be one of my favorite pictures from their day.
Next up is Meredith and Brandt. They got married at the Bear Mountain Inn. From the get go, Brandt told me that dancing pictures were very important to them. After meeting them and seeing what they had planned for their wedding, I got it. Brandt and Meredith’s first dance was one for the books. It was amazing. It wasn’t just about the dance. The way that these two look at each other, is really what makes this picture amazing.
Then there is Brittany and Will. The light was gorgeous. They are both gorgeous. That is all…..
How’s this for a first look? Natalie is a fellow photographer and had a very specific vision for her first look with Joey. We talked about location. She loves the elevators at the Portland Masonic and after seeing them I know why. There’s nothing more amazing then old architecture. I set up some lights to make sure their expressions could be seen in the dark elevators. I got back as far as I could to make sure I could get both of them in the shot. I have a whole series of these. But these with both of their expressions being just so emotional, it was perfect.
This is such a small selection of pictures that I loved. I really have so many. Maybe I’ll do another blog. Hopefully this time it won’t take my 3 months to do so!
