Cornish, Maine Newborn Photographer // My Favorites From 2022 // New Baby Pictures

As I leaned yesterday, as well as every other year that I’ve done these posts, it’s so hard to pick my favorite pictures. Yesterday was a clear reminder when trying to figure out my favorite wedding pictures. I have so many and they are all my favorites for different reasons. Sometimes a photo catches my eye because it has a special meaning or it’s a moment that is exceptional. And, sometimes, its just pretty. I mean that’s what draws most people to my photography to begin with.

This time I’m combing through last year’s newborn pictures. Last year was my last year as a traveling newborn photographer. It’s a little bittersweet. But, it's incredibly hard to get consistent work when I’m always moving to different environments to produce studio quality work, so this year I opened my own studio and I haven’t looked back! But, with that said, I still loved my work from last year and it was really hard to pick a few for this blog.

First up is baby Sienna. This little girl was so adorable. She was also such a sleepy little thing! I distinctly remember her wanting her hands out of her wrap. I never force babies to do things that make them uncomfortable, so of course, I let her keep them close to her little cheek and it was super cute!

Next up is Maeve. I loved her session so much, I have 2 favorites from this one. Her parents were also going to be my wedding clients, so this was a great way to get to meet them. She also slept like a dream and let me change her outfit multiple times without even waking!

Ok. I couldn’t just pick one from Asher’s session either. I mean, look at that smile!

Next up is Annalise, She was a peanut. I absolutely adored this little girl. She also just slept throughout the whole session. I love how big this headband looks on her little head!

Lastly, is my nephew’s son. I may be a bit biased, but I pick 3 of his pictures which I absolutely loved! Despite refusing to sleep for his session, little Kyson did such a great job. He had the best eye contact of any baby that was his age. That and he is just stinking cute!

These are what I would consider the best newborn photos that I took last year. Based off what I have already shot this year, not year will be even better. I can’t wait to share!
