Maine & NH Wedding Photographer // Michelle & Jesse's Wedding at the Viewpoint Hotel // York, Maine

As the sun rose over the Atlantic on the day of Jesse and Michelle’s wedding, The Viewpoint Hotel in York was already buzzing with quiet excitement. Nestled right on the edge of the ocean, with an unbeatable view of the Nubble Lighthouse, the location couldn’t have been more perfect for their big day. The weather was warm but not overbearing, with not a single cloud in sight—one of those rare, picturesque New England days.

When I arrived, the atmosphere was calm and tranquil, just like the couple themselves. Michelle was in the capable hands of her hair and makeup team, getting ready alongside her daughter, while Jesse was hanging out with the guys, sharing laughs and taking in the day. Their two kids were right in the mix, giving the day a special family-centered feel.

Before we knew it, it was time for the first look. Jesse and Michelle shared this moment with their young daughter and son, and it was the cutest thing to watch.

We moved quickly into family formals, taking advantage of the hotel’s stunning backdrop, before tucking Jesse and Michelle away to prepare for the ceremony. As guests started arriving, I could already tell this was going to be one for the books. There was an energy in the air and it was clear this crowd was ready to party.

The ceremony was short and sweet, with the ocean providing the perfect soundtrack. To top it off, a bald eagle soared overhead as sea planes buzzed in the distance—it was one of those magical moments you couldn’t plan if you tried.

And then, just like that, the cocktail hour kicked off. Jesse had told me earlier that this is his favorite part of any wedding, and it’s easy to see why. Guests mingled, sipped cocktails, and took in the views while we snuck off for the couple’s portraits. We shot all their formals by the sea, bathed in the soft golden light of the evening—it was one of those perfect settings where everything just clicks.

Soon, we were escorted to the tent for intros and dinner. The meal flew by, and then the moment everyone was waiting for arrived—the dance floor opened up. And boy, was I right. This group was more than ready to celebrate. Laughter, dancing, and joy filled the space as Jesse and Michelle soaked up every last bit of their perfect day.

It was the best way to close out my wedding season—a celebration full of love, family, and the kind of energy that makes you feel grateful to do what you do. Here’s to Jesse and Michelle, and the unforgettable memories made at The Viewpoint Hotel.
